Ingredients:
- 60 g pearl barley
- 1/2 l water
- a piece of smoked meat and
- rinds from smoked bacon
- 1 tbsp onions, finely chopped
- 2 carrots
- 1 tbsp flour
- salt
- 2 tbsp cream
Ingredients:
Put the barley, the smoked meat, and the bacon rinds into the water and let it simmer slowly for 2 - 2.5 hours. Add the finely chopped vegetables and the diced potatoes 1/2 hour before the end of the cooking time and let them cook until soft. 1/4 hour before serving, stir the flour with some cold water in a cup and add it to the hot soup. Let it boil briefly. Finally, season with salt and cream.
