Selected pleasure tours for your vacation in South Tyrol

Especially the south of South Tyrol is suitable all year round for enjoyable hikes, but they are particularly beautiful in the golden season, when the vineyards shine brightly and you can try culinary delights during Törggelen or Marende.

Since the 19th century, the southern part of South Tyrol has been a popular holiday destination for guests from near and far, who are drawn here again and again, mainly because of the charming landscape and mild climate. Back then, the first holidaymakers traveled to Merano by train, but today, with the modern transport network, you can also reach lofty heights to enjoy the fantastic panorama and explore nature on foot.

Experienced mountain enthusiasts, for example, can hike from Terlan to Greifenstein Castle, from where they can enjoy a fantastic view of Überetsch and the Bolzano basin. The Tschöggel- and Regglberg are also very good for hiking, an absolute natural phenomenon is the famous Bletterbach Gorge, which was formed 15,000 years ago and is eight kilometers long. Nearby, the Schwarzhorn and Weißhorn also entice, but a detour to the hiking area Naturpark Trudner Horn or the Sarntal Alps is also very worthwhile. Or you can take it easy and stroll through the colorful vineyards in Kurtatsch, Auer, Salurn, Margreid or Neumarkt, and then stop in a wine tavern to try the numerous autumnal delicacies.

South Tyrolean Sky Tour

Guests are offered an absolutely fantastic panorama on the South Tyrolean Sky Tour. To do this, take the Rittnerhorn cable car to the Schwarzseespitze, where the panoramic trail begins. You walk past the "Runder Tisch" and the "Dolomitoskop" and through the Alpine rock garden, where you can admire magnificent alpine flowers. The 360 ° panoramic view is breathtakingly beautiful, and it is no wonder that the Rittner Horn is one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in South Tyrol. Along the way, there are also numerous opportunities to stop and taste various juniper or stone pine products.

Relaxing on the Bolzano Promenades

A Mediterranean atmosphere prevails during a relaxed walk along the Bozen promenades, including the well-known St. Oswald and Guntschna promenades. Here, you stroll through the magnificent flora and enjoy the typical landscape panorama of Bolzano. The Guntschnapromenade is dedicated to Archduke Heinrich of Habsburg and dates back to the 19th century. The Oswaldpromenade was built in 1908, and a typical feature is the two towers made of porphyry conglomerate, also called "Wilde Mander". Along the Talfer, there is also the Wassermauerpromenade, where children can also have a great time.
