The tour begins with a ride up to the Hochmuth via cable car, where the Gasthof Hochmuth is located. From there, trail no. 22 leads past the Gasthof Steinegg to the Gasthof Mutkopf at an altitude of 1,684 meters. The path continues on forest trail no. 22/23, winding over the ridge to a fork in the road. Here, keep left and follow trail no. 23, which leads over the steep eastern ridge to the summit at 2,295 meters.
